In this workshop, Gunnar Jacob will discuss the practical applications of statistics. He will cover the connections between hypotheses, study design, and the use of statistical tools. This workshop does not require prior knowledge of statistical software.

Please be aware that this is an introductory course and no previous knowledge of statistical programs is required. If you want to brush up on your basic knowledge of statistics and how it relates to your hypotheses, study design, or measures be sure to attend. Gunnar Jacob is primarliy a psycholinguist, but is working with corpora at the moment, so he can answer questions with regard to both though his knowledge is geared more towards experiments.
