Fenia Karkaletsou
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
Department of English and American Studies
Fenia (Foteini) Karkaletsou received a master’s degree in linguistics at the University of Potsdam. During her studies she developed an interest for the psycholinguistics of bi-/multilingualism and conducted her thesis on the topic of morphosyntactic processing in Heritage Speakers of Greek in Germany. Her focus of investigation within the B01 project “Register and the Development of Periphrasis in the History of English” lies in the use of the analytic vs. synthetic formation of comparative and superlative adjectival types in correlation with register in Modern Greek. For this purpose, she employs corpus and experimental data.
