Samantha Weller

Samantha Weller is a research assistant and PhD student in the CRC 1412 C05 project “Young adults’ specialized register knowledge: Modeling late linguistic development in L1 and L2”. She has a B.A. in Translation Science from Heidelberg University, and an M.A. in Linguistics – Intercultural Communication from Utrecht University. In addition to that, she has a background in teaching English as a foreign language and working as language editor of academic texts. During her Masters and a following research internship, Samantha focused on implicit language knowledge, language acquisition and education of newcomers in both Germany and the Netherlands. In context of her own research, her interests include second language learning, multilingualism, and metalinguistic awareness.
