Matteo Macciò studied classics and Indo-European linguistics and obtained his doctorate with a dissertation on the Indo-European reconstruction of Greek nominal reduplication. He conducts research in the field of Indo-European linguistics with a focus on Ancient Greek and Vedic Sanskrit etymology, derivational morphology, and syntax.
