Matteo Macciò hat klassische Philologie und indogermanische Sprachwissenschaft studiert und zum Thema indogermanische Rekonstruktion der griechischen nominalen Reduplikation promoviert. Er beschäftigt sich mit indogermanischer Etymologie und Morphologie, griechischer Sprachwissenschaft und Dialektologie, vedischen Studien.
